Free consultation. The initial consultation is free and confidential. It typically takes 20–45 minutes and covers the facts of your matter, likely next steps, timeline, and honest information about likely outcomes and cost. There is no obligation to retain the firm.

Information to have ready. For a criminal matter, please have the case number, next court date, the specific charges (if known), the arresting agency, and any paperwork you were given at booking or arraignment. For a family law matter, have any existing filings, court dates, and a brief summary of the marriage/children/finances. For a juvenile matter, have the school district (for education issues) or the WIC petition (for delinquency).

Confidentiality. Everything you share during a consultation is protected by attorney-client privilege from the moment you contact the firm to discuss potential representation. This applies whether or not you eventually hire the firm. Please do not include highly sensitive facts in a voicemail or unsecured email; a call or a paid consultation is the appropriate venue.
